Council of American Structural Engineers/Minnesota
(CASE/MN) is an organization made up of representatives of firms providing structural engineering design. The purpose of the organization is to provide a forum to improve the quality and practice of structural engineering. The group works toward achieving that goal through:
Involvement in public safety issues
- Education
- Civic involvement
- Effective use of social and economic resources
- Cooperation among building disciplines, state and local agencies
- Contacts with manufacturing groups
CASE/MN has recently published the forth edition of the "Guideline Program for Special Structural Testing and Inspections"" and is available for downloading here. The document is intended to serve as a guideline to identify the items critical to the structural integrity of buildings and clearly outline the responsibilities of the parties involved in the design, construction, testing and inspection.
