Identity Statement
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota (ACEC/MN) is the leading business practice and policy advocate for consulting engineering firms in Minnesota.
Formed in 1949, ACEC/MN´s 150 member firms, representing over 6,000 employees, provide services to all segments of society, including federal, state and local governments, private industry and the general public.
Mission

- Create EDUCATIONAL and BUSINESS opportunities for our members.
- ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS to pursue careers with consulting engineering companies.
2009-11 Strategic Goals
- Increase effectiveness and influence as the leading policy and advocacy group.
- Improve the ability to influence client groups/agencies on the value of engineering companies, procurement processes, etc., and influence the way engineering services are procured.
- Align educational strategy and plan with ACEC/MN strategy; focus on business education customized for members; develop a long-term strategy.
- Encourage individuals to pursue careers in consulting engineering companies.
National Affiliation to ACEC
ACEC/MN is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the largest national organization of engineers engaged in the practice of consulting engineering located in Washington, DC. ACEC represents 51 states; employing 300,000 design professionals; responsible for more than $100 billion of private and public works annually.
