2011 Engineering Excellence Awards

ACEC/MN strives to recognize the achievements of individual members as well as those of the member firms. The Annual Engineering Excellence Awards Competition is a great opportunity to showcase your work to existing and potential clients, and promote your firm’s capabilities to the community.

This year, the annual awards banquet is scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2011, at Crowne Plaza St. Paul Riverfront  in St. Paul.

Awards Timeline

• Letter announcing competition and schedule: mid-August
• State Informational Meeting: September 16, 2009 (12 p.m. - lunch provided)
• Preliminary State Entries Due: Monday, October 4, 2010 (electronic submittals only please)
• Final State Entries Due: October 25, 2010 (12 p.m.)
• State Judging: November 18, 2010 - Mall of America Executive Center
• Notice of state grand/honor winners: November 19, 2009
• Final National Entries Due to ACEC National in Washington, DC: January 7, 2011 (12 p.m.)
• State Awards Banquet: January 28, 2011
• National Judging: February 4-6, 2011
• National Awards Gala: April 1, 2011 in Washington, D.C.

The Engineering Excellence awards are presented annually by ACEC/MN, to recognize achievements that demonstrate the highest degree of merit and serve to advance the profession. Careful consideration is given to the selection of winners, who will represent Minnesota in a national competition held in Washington, D.C.

Entries are judged on the following criteria:
